In the past decade, we have experienced extreme weather conditions that existing weather models cannot correctly predict. We must improve our forecasting methods by using multiple data sources and reliable real-time observations to adjust to this new reality. We aim to offer cutting-edge tools and insights highlighting snow’s significance and how we can plan and model its usage more effectively. Our services will enhance the accuracy of models used by various entities, including agencies, utilities, enterprises, service providers, local authorities, and outdoor enthusiasts (both professional and recreational). Smart Mountains provides affordable services that leverage real-time and high-quality data to support outdoor economies and businesses thriving and adapting to climate change extremes.

Capabilities
Our company was founded in April of 2022. Over the past year, we have established partnerships with leading specialized engineering companies to enhance our capabilities. We have also worked on distribution agreements and improved their product offerings. We validate each product with a select group of customers/partners before proceeding with seeding or a series A round in 2024/2025.

The headquarter is in Winchester, United Kingdom, with two additional commercial and engineering offices in Italy, Livigno and Como. Co-owned by Fabrizio de Liberali and Fabiano Monti.
Investors Relation
We have received investment offers from VCs, partners, and private individuals. Our current focus is on achieving a market fit and developing a minimum viable product. We plan to create an investor deck and select the appropriate shareholders, non-exec directors, and investors by the end of 2024 once we have sold the first services and completed the portfolio and roadmap prioritisation.
Commercial Status
We seek five customers per data proposition to strengthen our product and finalise our business models through our first projects. Technological partners are welcome at this stage ONLY if they do NOT ask for exclusivity (e.g., geolocation data, satellite and mobile communication, cloud and software vendors, value-added resellers and hardware/chipset manufacturers).
